On Thursday of this week, the world celebrated Earth Day. Joining with the rest of humanity, we had our own special moments this week: Atid students studied various forms of rocks in our area, Gesher students worked on making recycling and composting posters and planted seeds using egg shells, and Kindergarten / Pre-K made paper using recycled materials (old shredded paper as pulp) to make something new and useable (new paper).Nature doesn’t merely surround us; it is us. We are nature. In the weeks, months, and years to come, we will spend more time understanding our natural context, how we fit into it, and what responsibility we have, young and old, to do our part to maintain this incredible planet.
Shabbat Shalom,
