We had an absolutely fabulous trip to the New England Aquarium this week. Across the board all of the students gave it 10 stars! We began with a private class about tide pools where the children were given the opportunity to touch a variety of different animals. Then, we learned about sea lions as we watched them being fed and trained. After that we touched stingrays and sharks, learned all about the life cycle of a lobster and had quite a noisy visit with some penguins. We visited the large tank and saw many different forms of ocean life and we ended with another visit to a touch tank. Could not have asked for a better day! 🙂
My math group learned about double digit addition with regrouping. We will continue to practice and then move on to subtraction with regrouping.
In science, both D’vash and Chalav worked with syringes and tubes to investigate air. Each pair of students were given one tube and two syringes. They quickly learned all about air compression and pressure. The lesson was a lot of fun. Next week, balloons . . . .
