Last week Rimon writers finished creating their “heart maps.” Each student completed a “map” filled with friends, family and activities that are dear to that particular student. Items on the maps included: pets, sports, synagogues, vacation spots, friends and family members. Each child then wrote and illustrated a true story about one of the items on his/her map. The children are learning to add lots of detail to their writing, answering the questions: who, what, where and when. After completing their writing, the children then read their story to the rest of the class.
