This morning middle schoolers in HaMorah Michelle and HaMorah Eliza’s math classes presented business plans to their teachers and their peers. It turns out, we have lots of creative and innovative businessmen and women in Atid! We had one proposal for a state-of-the-art Framingham sports complex with treadmills overlooking where the kids play sports so parents can exercise and watch their kids at the same time. Another group proposed opening a candy and stuffed animal shop, run by and for kids! A third group’s proposal was for a zoo with rides! And, lastly, we had a proposal for a new, cool kind of aquarium that allows the public to walk through a see-through tube underwater. Visitors would feel like they were in the tanks with the fish and sea creatures!
All groups asked the sharks (HaMorah Michelle and HaMorah Eliza) for funds with which to start their businesses. We were excited by all 4 concepts, but we had to send each group back to the drawing boards to figure to further hone their plans. Tomorrow they will submit their final, edited proposals. Stay tuned to find out who gets the loan… 🙂
UPDATE
And the winners are: Gigi, Justin and Zev, who will be opening the Framingham Sportsplex shortly and Ella, Mel and Dafna, who will be opening the eponymously named, EDM Shop, a candy shop!
