MetroWest Jewish Day School is an amazing place for kids to learn, but it is also a community. Here are some helpful hints for parents in our community:
- Subscribe to the MWJDS Google Calendar. We update the calendar frequently with deadline and events, so it’s better than a printed calendar. You can event sync it to your smart phone. Click here: MWJDS calendar
- Read the Mini-Moment – MWJDS’s weekly e-newsletter is published on the first school day of every week during the school year. Current parents are automatically subscribed. If you can’t find it in your inbox, check the MWJDS Facebook page or the MWJDS Twitter feed for a link. Not a current parent? Click here to subscribe to the Mini-Moment!
- Like MWJDS on Facebook. We post pictures and updates everyday. Its a great way to see what is happening in our classrooms and on our adventures.
- Follow MWJDS on Twitter. We tweet up to the minute reminders on deadlines and events, as well as updates on what is happening at MWJDS.
- Read your child’s MWJDS classroom blog. MWJDS students and teachers blog weekly with updates about their classroom activities, projects they are working on, and school-wide events.
- Attend the MWJDS Gala on Sunday, November 15, 2015 at Temple Israel of Natick. The Gala is the biggest MWJDS event of the year. Don’t miss out! Click here to learn more about the Gala. Call the office to purchase tickets (508-620-5554).
- Attend Parent-Teacher conferences. This year they are scheduled for Wednesday 11/11 and Thursday 3/3. Scheduling information will be published in the Mini-Moment a few weeks before conferences.
- Celebrate Shabbat with MWJDS at the Shabbaton. This is a great opportunity to see our students shine as they read torah and to get to know the other families in our community. We are planning two Shabbatons this year, one during the winter and another in the spring. Stay tuned to the Mini-Moment for scheduling information.
- Stay for coffee! We will be hosting parent coffees after drop-off and before pick-up throughout the year. Check the Mini-Moment for dates and times.
- When you see someone new, introduce yourself. One of the special parts of MWJDS is our community. So, introduce yourself and get to know our teachers, parents, and families.
