Te’enah students have been busy reading and writing poetry. Te’enah writers wrote wonderful shape poems (poems in various shapes including cats, mansions and flowers) this week. We also have been reading a variety of types of poetry during read-alouds. This morning students explored poetry books individually and in small groups.
We have been learning about money, more specifically pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters. Ask your child to help pay for something in coins or to help you keep track of your change!
In Fundations we have continued our work on long and short vowels including vowel teams and “magic e.” Activities this week included sorting words with long and short vowels, playing ” Will the real long vowel please stand up” and a memory game.
Shabbat Shalom,
Hamorah Joanne
