Dear Families,
The second grade school year is off to a wonderful start! This week we got to know the “workings” of our classroom and schedule and we decided on our classroom rules together with Se’orah because each afternoon we become one large group (Anafim – branches). We also jumped right into our social studies curriculum and began learning about America by sharing a story called Me on the Map by Joan Sweeney. Each child began an art project showing him/herself on a map of the world. Underneath they began to label and illustrate their room, house, street, town, state, country and the Earth. These projects will soon be displayed.
Just a reminder: it is very cold in our classroom. Please make sure your child has an extra sweatshirt.
Shabbat Shalom and have a wonderful holiday weekend.
🙂 Hamorah Caren
