Hello, MWJDS kindergarten families! Welcome to Chalav’s class blog.
This blog will be updated at the end of each week to fill you in on what the Chalav students have been up to.
What an amazing first week of school we shared together. You can check out highlights and happenings from the last few days below. Enjoy!
Our week was full of many “firsts.”
We met the D’vash (1st grade) and Hitah (2nd grade) students. We also took our very first school tour.
We learned about how to be safe and respectful in the cafeteria when we have lunch (and enjoyed many yummy lunches this week. Thanks, moms, dads, and families for packing our lunchboxes!)
The Shoe Greeting with 1st and 4th grade!
We had Hebrew this week with Hamorah Einat and got to meet Nachash (ask your child about who Nachash is).
In tefillah, prayer, we began to learn Modeh Ani. We discussed how the words of this tefillah relate to being thankful. We then illustrated different things that we are thankful for. Here’s what the Chalav students shared:
I am thankful for…
“going to see the sand castle contest with my mom and dad.” -Trevor
“my dog, Gracie.” -Jordyn
“my bunny and my mom and dad.” -Shira
“my room and my dog, Sammy.”-Elias
“my mom and my dog (and when they go on walks).” -Ellie
