We completed our Massachusetts lap books and now we are going to be learning about different symbols of America. This week our focus was the White House. Did you know that there are 132 rooms in the White House? Did you know that it took 8 years to build? Or, how about that it used to be called President’s Palace? Ask your second grader to share some facts about the White House with you.
The second graders have become expert alphabetizers! They are now learning to find entry words in the dictionary by using the guide words. Our next step will be learning how to find the part of speech and definition.
My math group has completed our unit on fractions. This Monday we will start learning about money and adding small amounts of change.
Reminder: Wednesday, November 11th is conference day.
Please check out photos below of our busy week. Congratulations to Henry on his first Aliyah during Sam’s in school bar mitzvah! And, we had such fun getting to do our Friday morning tefillah with Pizmon!
Shabbat Shalom,
