So nice to be back on the MWJDS Blog. The children in Hitah are learning a lot in the short period of time we have had together.
For Writer’s Workshop our classroom writers have already started to write personal narratives about things, people, and places that are important to them. They love to write and ask is they can write throughout the day! It is fun to see them enjoying writing about themselves.
In social studies they are learning map skills. The children created a map of our classroom. In order to do this they had to pretend they had an aerial view of the room.
We are reading Hundred Dresses, this book has been a springboard for many interesting conversations about bullying and including our friends during unstructured play times.
I am looking forward to a full week of school but until then we are very busy. Enjoy the holidays!
