This week D’vash students learned the steps to Writer’s Workshop. We talked about how to plan a story and the concept of using a story map was introduced. Then, each student received a picture of a girl with a backpack and a puppy in a box labeled, “free.” We quickly learned that although we all had the same exact picture, we ended up with seven different stories!
My math group continued to work on mastery of addition facts. I’m not seeing so many fingers moving anymore!
We completed our scuba divers with grade 1. Students were given a choice of a writing assignment; Swimming in the ocean would be fun because . . . . or If I went scuba diving, I would see . . . . ” These projects will be displayed shortly.
And, finally, today for Morning Work the students were given the steps to create a “robot.” Check out photos below.
