March is off to a great start for the Chalav friends.
We began our week with a tefillah with grades K-3. We worked in partners to illustrate our interpretations of different parts of the Birkot HaShachar.
In honor of Purim, we created our own silly clowns. This was great cutting and hole punching practice! We also learned a song called Laytzan Katan, Little Clown, for our clowns to dance to. We named our clowns and wrote about an activity they like to do.
Thursday was our exciting Purim celebration. During the morning, we had an all school megillah reading (we put our groggers to good use). We then came back to our classroom to organize the mishloach manot. In the afternoon, the Hebrew teachers put on a very special carnival for us. What a wonderful day we had!
We completed our Ball and Ramps unit this week. The students then had a chance to freely explore the balls and ramps materials. We also completed an assessment to show what we’ve learned from this unit. Next week, we’re onto starting our egg and chick unit!
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend and Shabbat Shalom,
Hamorah Nitzan
