7th graders had a busy day working in the world of 3D art, design, and printing. They started their day at Microsoft exploring some 3D design software. They then visited the Natick Public Library where they had an amazing workshop in the world of 3D printing. They learned about the multitude of ways 3D printing is improving lives (ranging from Braille library card printing to extremely cost effective and useful prosthetic hands for kids around the world to more cost efficient prototypes for innovators). Students used software they had been using in school in a Boston’s Bruins 3D design course to create their own items to print. They loved designing, trouble shooting, and printing their items!
