Hi Rimon Parents,
The children have been busy during Writer’s Workshop creating stories about their favorite games. Some children have already published their stories while some are adding additional information in order to create a more thorough narrative. Some of the kids like Uno, some like computer games while other children like outdoor games. The class is looking forward to sharing them with you.
The children have started reading new books. I am sending the November reading log home, so please return the October log next Monday.
The children started learning about multiplication for the current math unit. We have been using a variety of manipulatives to learn about multiplication. The class created “Strings with Wings” so that they can visualize the tables. They used beads, string and different patterns to show the 2 through 9 tables. Today we used Legos to figure out different arrays. They also created a city skyline to figure out multiplication equations. Please have them continue to use IXL to memorize the tables.
I hope that you have a wonderful Shabbat and Hanukkah!
Janis
