Teacher Appreciation Week!
I once heard from my beloved rabbi that a synagogue is much more than the bricks, mortar, doors, wires, and windows that we see. Those words describe the building, but not the most important element which is the people who fill the space and the community bonds that form. This week asks us to step back and appreciate the teachers (and school staff!) who create the safe, warm, engaging reality that our students experience every day.
Thank you to Family Connection for organizing daily moments, messages, and gifts to show our staff how much they are loved and appreciated. We took some time in our staff meeting yesterday to show appreciation for one another, and it was moving. I encourage you to reach out to any teacher in the world and tell them how much they mean to you.
Shabbat Shalom,
Brian Cohen, Head of School
