Te’enah students are really in the Purim spirit with their wonderful and creative costumes. We are currently in the midst of a fabulous Purim celebration! Earlier this morning we gathered with the rest of the school to listen to the megillah and watch a Purim shpiel. Later we will be participating in the Purim carnival. The children also decorated bags for mishloach manot and gave tzedakah as part of matanot l’evyonim.
Spirit week here at MWJDS was quite fun. Crazy hair/hat day was a special favorite. Wow! It has been quite the busy week.
In academics, students finished a unit on graphing. The children learned about creating and interpreting picture and tally graphs. In Fundations, we completed learning about the suffixes “ed” and “ing” and have moved on to our unit about long vowels and “magic e” words. Te’enah writers wrote “I wonder” poems about questions they have been pondering.
Have a peaceful Shabbat and a joyous Purim! Hamorah Joanne
