Another short but busy week in Te’enah. We have continued to learn about and to celebrate the holiday of Sukkot together. We had our snack in the sukkah on two different days. In addition, all of the children in Te’enah had a chance to say the blessing and shake the lulav and etrog inside the sukkah. Each child made his/her own sukkah out of materials in the classroom. Some children used legos, some used magnet tiles and others used paper.
In math we learned about in/out machines and have begun a unit on addition word problems. In Fundations we are working on consonant digraphs (wh, th, sh, ch and ck). The children have been earning mission mitzvah points and have now earned their first mission mitzvah party of the year. More information about this will follow next week.
Chag Sameach and Shabbat Shalom,
Hamorah Joanne
